Pigmentation. What is it?

Pigmentation is the medical term used to describe dark patches of skin on the face.

Think clusters of freckles, sun spots, age spots (Thanks Sun!) and conditions such as Melasma (due to hormonal changes during pregnancy or taking the pill) . Genetics can also play a role in how your skin displays pigmentation.

It can make the skin look uneven, textured, dull, worn out and sun damaged.
